A re-brand to bring education to life
Despite being the oldest supply agency in Wales, MPS Education have always built a reputation for being modern and forward thinking in their approach to branding & marketing.
Feeling their existing brand needed a refresh in order to showcase the company’s professional approach to recruitment, MPS approached Morgans Consult to create a creative and consistent re-brand along with implementing it across all of their communications.
The existing brand had served them well for many years and helped position themselves as a company who like to do things differently.
To begin the process of creating the new strategy we needed to analyse the existing brand along with its competitors to gain an insight into market position and brand perception. We carried out a series of research and development processes which resulted in a clear vision for the new brand journey.
Morgans Consult wanted to provide a brand that is fresh, exciting and will appeal to both supply teachers and schools looking to recruit.
The only requirement on the project was to keep the sun logo as it represents the heritage of the
company and the school establishment. This sun
icon was made up of a folded origami style paper
shape to link to the paper traditionally used throughout schools.
The individual sun ray was created using a marker effect, representing the substitute teacher within the school. We created a variety of different hand drawn sunrays used to represent the different qualities the supply teachers offer.
To bring some energy and excitement to the brand, a supporting series of photography was chosen and customised with the brand graphics to be used across many forms of media.
Bringing the brand to life online
The MPS website was a key part of the brand communication strategy, not only telling the brand story but also providing teachers and schools with vital information and linking them to their own personalised user areas.
We worked on the wire framing, website architecture and the visual design for desktop, tablet and mobile to ensure all aspects of the design were well thought out and the brand strategy was maintained. The site was built using a bespoke Content Management System to allow control to be handed over to the client to post news articles and events.
A series of motion graphic animations were also created to deliver the key business messages through the website and social media.
With the use of bold colour, energetic photography and motion the website comes to life!
The brand implementation
With the re-brand and brand strategy in place we developed a system of guidelines to ensure the brand was implemented correctly and consistently while not losing the brand emotion that had been developed.
