Morgans Consult are proud to announce that a recent project of ours carried out at Pencoedtre High School in Barry, South Wales, has been shortlisted for Building Project of the Year at the 2022 CEW Awards.
We were delighted to include our design and branding expertise to bring the exciting new design of Pencoedtre High School to life. The project was part of a £34.7 million investment by the Vale Council and Welsh Government, and the new school now caters up to 1050 pupils and 200 sixth form students.
The design and build of the new school was largely constructed during the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, meaning there were lockdowns and restrictions to navigate.
Fortunately, all work was able to complete on time and on budget, with the school being handed over to the Vale of Glamorgan Council, staff, and pupils, towards the end of December 2021 – just in time for the start of the 2022 spring term.
Our creative design and branding services were utilised by Bouygues UK and HLM Architects to piece together the overall branding of the new high school, including all internal and external wayfinding signage, as well as creative wall graphics for a large bespoke feature wall located in the main entrance of the school.
