Morgans Consult worked with the RNLI and Amgueddfa Cymru to create an immersive exhibition to celebrate the charity and it’s volunteers.
In 2024, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) celebrates its 200th year. Morgans Consult has supported a number of 200th anniversary events, most recently manufacturing and installing the Courage and Community exhibition at Oriel Y Parc in St Davids, Pembrokeshire on behalf of Amgueddfa Cymru.

The Client
Dedicated to saving lives at sea, the RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews provide 24-hour rescue services in the UK and Ireland, and its seasonal lifeguards patrol busy beaches, keeping residents and visitors to these shores safe.
But the RNLI is more than just a lifeboat service. It influences, supervises and educates people too. It has visitor centres located around the UK and Ireland featuring educational and interactive displays. Its Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast.

Morgans Consult has been working with the RNLI across its 238 lifeboat stations, visitors’ centres and events helping to communicate the organisation’s vital work, its outreach efforts, and educational programmes.
Courage and Community Exhibition
Held in the iconic Oriel Y Parc building in St Davids, the Courage and Community exhibition is a collaboration between Amgueddfa Cymru, the RNLI and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. Morgans Consult produced the inspirational displays that tell the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, featuring interactive bilingual displays, games and activities for a range of ages.
We popped down to take a look at the finished exhibition. It was the first time Heather, our lead designer on the project, had seen this work on display.

Services We Offer RNLI
Morgans Consult have been a contracted supplier to the RNLI for 6 years, though we were supporting our local lifeboat stations long before.
- Surveying and consultation
- Graphic design and artworking
- Branding and signage manufacture
- Install and maintenance.
Our work with this client generally falls into two categories. Firstly, the design and manufacture of standard items, items that are utilised across multiple RNLI sites. They require minimal design tweaks, are manufactured in our workshop and installed. To ensure specs and designs were standardised and pre-approved by RNLI brand guardians, we designed an ordering system that was rolled out to all sites in the RNLI estate.
Secondly, we support the RNLI with bespoke creative design and manufacture at sites and events. The Courage and Community exhibition is a prime example of our creative team working with the RNLI to create an engaging visitor attraction, that communicates complex information in an engaging way to a wide demographic. Products range from exhibition information panelling, indoor and outdoor event branding, branded display cases, large 3D installations, wayfinding and interactive digital displays.

The Courage and Community Exhibition runs from June 2024 until June 2025 at the Oriel Y Parc centre in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. Entry is free and it’s well worth a visit.
