2024… Our Biggest and Best Year Yet

Here’s a little look back and some of the things that have made 2024 at Morgans Consult so special.

2024 has been Morgans Consult’s biggest and best year yet. We moved into Cambria House and made it our home, welcomed loads of new faces, loads of new clients and made a difference to business and public sector spaces across the UK and beyond.

We’ve taken time to get to connect with each other, our clients, and the world around us.

Here are some of our favourite moments from the past year…

We made Cambria House our Cambria Home

Our business expanded at the end of 2023. We purchased an additional premises and made it our new HQ. For the first time, Morgans Consult, Andco Studio and Dipec Fabrication are all under one roof, working collaboratively to create bespoke solutions for our clients.

We’re well and truly settled in now, and it feels like home. The location and glass frontage allows us to show off our production processes, host events, and make use of direct access the Taff Trail and Pontcanna Fields.

Our expansion and bigger premises allowed us to also expand our team. We’ve welcomed 11 new members to the team. Welcome Christie, Lee, Gwen, Jason, Rebecca, Harley, Arron, Ieuan, Cal, Mia and Abe.

We Championed Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing

Through a series of workshops, guest speakers and team activities we helped educate our staff about the importance of mental health and wellbeing provisions in the workplace. Wales’ Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Sarah Murphy visited us on World Mental Health Day to see what we’re doing and to meet our recently appointed Welfare Champions. She went on to say, when interviewed by ITV, that Morgans Consult are “leading the way” in efforts to make workplaces a wellbeing-focused space.

We got stuck in for two amazing charities.

It’s the taking part that counts… right? Well, we took part in the Bute Energy Charity Touch Rugby Tournament at Cardiff Arms Park in aid of two amazing charities; St David’s Hospice Care and The DPJ Foundation. Great effort from the team.

Collaborations with Universities

We announced an exciting partnership with Cardiff University to provide work experience placements across different departments of the business, from marketing, design, production and installation. These placements give vital real-world experiences to students wishing to go into fields related to our work. We recently welcomed Ari into our marketing team as our first partnership placement. It’s been great having you on board Ari!

We also partnered with University of South Wales’ Interior Design course, working with them to create a “live brief” for their third-year students. The brief, based on visitor experience and wayfinding, gives the students an opportunity to experience a competitive design proposal process for a real-world scenario. We invited the students into our premises, talked to them about the importance of wayfinding for visitor experience, gave them tours of our facility, showed them samples of our products and have been working with them on their initial responses to the brief. Good luck with the project!

Earlier in the year we welcomed Grace to join our marketing team for a few weeks. Grace was was going into her third year at Manchester University studying Marketing. Libby also joined us over the summer to spend a week working with Andco Studio, learning about life working for a creative design agency.

We’ve Shown Our Commitment to Sustainability

Our Plant a Green Future initiative is growing! With nearly 20,000 trees planted to date on behalf of our clients. The scheme, set up in August 2022, is a commitment we make to help offset any unavoidable CO2 emitted during our production processes. If a client signs up to the scheme, we fund the planting of trees on their behalf every time they work with us. We keep those clients updated throughout the year on the number of trees their work with us has planted.

We also joined Welsh Government’s Green Growth Pledge, awarded for our efforts to become a more sustainable business.

We donated offcuts to our local primary school to help them create a set for their production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We Launched Ffeel Acoustics, our range of felt acoustics that deaden sound, improve privacy and look beautiful! The best bit? Our felt acoustic panels are made from recycled plastic bottles.

We worked on some amazing briefs with some amazing clients

We came face-to-face with Van Gogh! In collaboration with Dipec, we created an interactive installation for the National Museum of Wales’ ‘Art of the Selfie’ exhibition.

We implemented Living Map at one of the UK’s biggest and busiest shopping malls, the Trafford Centre in Manchester. We installed strategically located interactive kiosks to help shoppers easily and safely navigate the complex site.

We worked with Celtic Manor on their newest property, Ty Hotel in Newport, where we designed, manufactured and installed wayfinding, digital, interior and external signage. The site looks amazing.

We collaborated with Andco Studio to create a motivational environment for Cardiff City’s young players, designing, manufacturing and installing all the interior branding throughout the new facility.

We showcased the amazing work of the RNLI by working with Amgueddfa Cymru to produce the ‘Saving Lives at Sea’ exhibition at Oriel y Parc in St David’s.

We were at the Royal Welsh Show once again, creating the BBC Cymru Wales studio and exhibition space there. And closer to home, we’ve been ensuring the BBC HQ in Central Square looks fresh by keeping their window displays updated.

We continued our support for Welsh Domestic Football, having once again sponsored the FAW National League Awards. Not only did Andco Studio design the brand for this and future awards events, we worked with Stone Sign and Dipec to create all 30 trophies for the event.

And while we’re talking trophies, we also collaborated with Stone Sign on the production of the Wales National Team ‘Player of the Match’ trophies, sponsored by EE. A trophy handed over to the player of the match after every senior men’s and women’s national team match.

We’ve also been kept busy servicing our long-term accounts, including Spire, Cadw, RNLI, Coffee#1, Cardiff Uni, Welsh Water and many, many more.

Andco Studio

It’s been a busy year for Andco Studio, our creative design agency

Its biggest and most visible project so far was launched in September, the new brand for the Wales Men’s National Team. A huge effort from the team to deliver a truly original visual identity for the team, one that celebrates the new exciting young squad, fan culture, and the retro fan fashion that has become so synonymous with the Cymru supporters.

Case Study: Andco Studio create New Identity for Wales Football Team

Andco worked with the Cymru Football Foundation on their Facilities Vision, turning their strategy into an engaging series of documents and presentations which were used to galvanise support from high profile funding stakeholders such as Welsh Government.

The studio has also been working with the CFF on their branding at grassroots facilities across Wales, creating large murals that link the facilities to the community and legendary footballers from the area.

Andco have a number of currently confidential rebrands campaigns in progress for a range of clients. We can’t wait to see those launching in 2025.

Dipec

We’ve had a strong 2025 at Dipec, with a steady stream of bigger, better enquiries from increasingly prestigious clients. We’ve welcomed 3 new members to the team to help us cope with the ever-increasing workload (welcome Rebecca, Josh and Arron!)

Having the new workshop space, and being able to work collaboratively with the Morgans Consult team is a gamechanger. We’re really excited for 2025.

We already have so many exciting things to look forward to. From our new home in the heart of Cardiff, we really can’t wait to get started in the new year.
