We’re delighted to have been awarded a 3-year contract to deliver all signage services to Midland Metro LTD across the current and expanding West Midlands Metro network.
Our tender team responded to a competitive tender in 2024 issued by West Midland Combined Authority and is delighted to have been awarded the contract. This marks yet another successful tender submission, and a new client for Morgans Consult.
About Midland Metro LTD
West Midlands Metro is an expanding light rail network in the West Midlands. The network currently has 33 stops over 15 miles of track with ambitious plans to triple in size from a single line in the coming years. Operated by Midland Metro Limited (MML), the network provides a safe, secure, reliable and sustainable transport service to people, local communities and businesses in the region.
With ongoing expansions, the Metro continues to enhance connectivity between major destinations, including Wolverhampton, Birmingham, and upcoming extensions to Dudley, Brierley Hill, and more. Committed to customer service, safety, and sustainability, West Midlands Metro plays a crucial role in enhancing connectivity and supporting the region’s green transport goals.
MML recently appointed Morgans Consult as the sole supplier for signage production and installation across its network. This collaboration will be key in supporting MML’s dedication to putting customers first and enhancing their experience as the network expands. Clear signage will ensure seamless communication and intuitive navigation for all users.

Scope of Work
As the dedicated signage provider Morgans Consult will be responsible for:
- Manage, Design, Produce, Install, and Maintain the signage across the entire tram network and fleet.
- Internal signage: Support with the design, manufacture and installing of the depot extension and adhere to the regulations.
- Network Expansion Support: Updating signage to reflect new routes and stops, as well as providing signage for marketing communications campaigns.
- Quality Assurance: Supplying samples to ensure materials and finishes meet MML’s quality standards.
- Brand Compliance: Demonstrating in-depth knowledge and adherence to MML’s branding guidelines and specifications.
