Charity environments that connect with every visitor.

Charity

We work with a wide range of charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK, helping them create spaces that are clear, welcoming, and engaging. From visitor centres and museums to shops, offices, and event venues, our signage and branding solutions support navigation, storytelling, and commercial activity.

Our partnerships include long-standing work with the RNLI, where we’ve supported lifeboat stations, museums, and visitor centres nationwide with signage, wayfinding, and bespoke interactive displays. We’ve also delivered projects for the RSPB, designing interpretation and wayfinding across nature reserves to help visitors connect with the natural world; led a full visitor engagement project for the National Museum of the Royal Navy; and collaborated with Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales to build brand-cohesive, accessible environments that reflect Welsh culture and heritage.

Recent UK data shows that DCMS-sponsored museums and galleries recorded 40.8 million visits in 2023-24 — an increase of 17% over the previous year. Children under 16 accounted for about 8.5 million of those visits (roughly 21%), highlighting how charity and heritage venues are vital for families and learning. Visitor satisfaction is high too: about 93% of people said they would recommend the museum or gallery they visited. Although visitor numbers are rebounding, many venues remain below pre-COVID levels, underlining the importance of attractive, clear, and welcoming signage, helpful wayfinding, and strong branding to draw people back and encourage repeat visits.

Many charity venues combine educational exhibits with retail areas and fundraising activities. This means signage needs to work on multiple levels — guiding visitors through spaces, reinforcing brand identity, and encouraging engagement and support. Our experience ensures every element, from wayfinding to branded displays, contributes to a stronger, more memorable visitor journey.

Key challenges in Hospitality signage & wayfinding

Balancing Storytelling and Functionality

Charity environments often need to inspire visitors with their mission while still guiding them clearly through shops, exhibits, and event spaces.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

Charities welcome diverse audiences, including families, supporters, and tourists. Signage must be accessible, bilingual where required, and easy to understand for every visitor.

Consistency Across Diverse Venues

From visitor centres and museums to offices and shops, charities manage a wide range of spaces. Ensuring consistent branding and signage across them all can be a challenge.

Maximising Commercial Impact

Many charity venues include retail areas, donation points, and event spaces. Signage has to work hard to not only guide visitors but also encourage engagement and support.

Strong charity environments build trust, inspire action, and encourage lasting support.

What our clients say

Hospitality signage solutions we provide across the UK

We design and manufacture signage for charity spaces that is clear, consistent, and welcoming. From visitor centres and museums to shops and offices, our signage supports navigation, highlights key messages, and reflects your brand identity across every environment.

Accessibility is vital for charities that welcome a wide range of visitors and supporters. Our signage includes raised tactile lettering, Braille, and high-contrast designs to ensure everyone can navigate independently and confidently. We stay up to date with UK accessibility standards, giving you peace of mind that your spaces are compliant and inclusive.

For charities in Wales, bilingual signage is both a legal requirement and a mark of inclusivity. We produce professional signage in English and Welsh, balancing clarity with brand guidelines to ensure consistent, accurate communication across all environments.

First impressions matter for charities, whether at a lifeboat station, museum, or fundraising shop. We create durable, high-impact external signage and branding that sets the right tone, attracts visitors, and reinforces trust in your organisation from the moment people arrive.

Every charity has a story to tell. We design branded environments that bring your mission to life — from interior wall graphics and window manifestations to bespoke displays and donor recognition features. These elements help create emotional connections, inspiring visitors and supporters to engage more deeply with your cause.

Charity venues often combine education, visitor engagement, and retail, making wayfinding complex. We provide full strategy and implementation services, from surveys and design through to manufacture and installation. Our systems help visitors move confidently through exhibits, shops, and event spaces, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Digital displays offer charities a powerful tool for engaging visitors and supporters. From interactive exhibits and educational screens to donation point messaging, our digital solutions are designed to be flexible, easy to update, and visually engaging — ensuring your content remains relevant and impactful.

For larger charity venues such as museums, visitor centres, or multi-site organisations, digital wayfinding adds an extra layer of clarity. In partnership with Living Map, we deliver interactive kiosks, apps, and digital maps that help visitors explore your spaces with ease, reducing staff pressure and enhancing the overall visitor journey.
